The Luyana Skin Seasons

The Luyana Skin Seasons

Your skin is always changing.
Your ritual should change with it.

Skin is not static. It responds to the changing seasons, to the surrounding climate and environment, to periods of stress, to moments of rest, to the passing of time and to the quiet shifts of everyday life.

We believe skincare should listen before it acts.

Skin is not asking to be controlled. It is asking to be understood.

The ritual begins with listening.

Skin does not stay the same.
Why should skincare?

Much of modern skincare asks us to choose a permanent identity: dry, oily, sensitive, mature, blemish-prone.

But skin is a living system. What it needs today may not be what it needs tomorrow.

A change in climate. A demanding chapter of life. A period of rest. The passing of time. A shift in routine.

Skin responds to all of it.

Your skin type can tell you where to begin. It does not tell you the whole story.

We call these changing expressions Skin Seasons.

02

Meet the skin
where it is.

Luyana ritual

A Skin Season is not a diagnosis, and it is not a permanent category. It is simply a way of recognising what your skin may be asking for in this moment.

You may move between seasons. Return to one. Experience traces of several at once. Or remain in one for longer than the other.

No season is better than another. No season is permanent.

The purpose of a ritual is not to combat or control change. It is to meet and support it with intention.

Your skin type is a starting point. Your Skin Season tells you what more your skin may be asking for now.

03

Listen to what
your skin is asking for.

Each season describes a different state of the skin and the quality of care it is seeking.

They are not fixed destinations. They are expressions of the skin's changing needs — a way of listening more closely and responding more thoughtfully.

Resilience

Skin in a state of depletion is seeking restoration and fortification.

Your skin has been asked to give more than it has had the opportunity to replenish. It may feel tight where there was once suppleness, dry where there was once comfort, or less resilient than it once was.

This is a season for nourishment, restoration and protection — giving the skin what it needs to feel replenished, comfortable and resilient.

Restore · Nourish · Protect

Comfort

Skin in a state of overstimulation is seeking stillness and comfort.

Your skin has been given more than it can comfortably respond to. Stress, environmental change or simply too much input can leave it feeling unsettled.

Redness, sensitivity or discomfort may appear where there was once calm. This is a season for simplicity, gentleness and space to settle.

Simplify · Soften · Still

Temperance

Skin in a state of overproduction is seeking balance and temperance.

Your skin may feel as though it is been working harder than it needs to. It can fall out of rhythm, revealing itself through excess oil, congestion or breakouts where there was once clarity.

This is not a season for suppression. It is a season for regulation — creating space for the skin to find its natural equilibrium again.

Ease · Clarify · Breathe

Renewal

Skin in a state of accumulation is seeking renewal and luminosity.

Your skin's natural radiance has not disappeared. It may simply have become obscured by what has accumulated over time — from environmental exposure, stress and the changing needs of the skin.

Dullness and uneven tone can be signs that the skin is ready for renewal — clearing the way for the luminosity that is already there to be revealed.

Reveal · Refine · Illuminate

Harmony

Skin in a state of harmony is asking for stewardship and continuity.

Your skin is responding well to the season of life it is currently in. It is adapting, tolerating and maintaining its natural equilibrium with ease.

This is not a season without change. It is a season of stewardship — maintaining what is working well while remaining attentive to what the skin may ask for next.

Honour · Maintain · Expand

04

Ritual
over routine.

Luyana facial ritual

Skincare should be more than a sequence of products. It can be a moment of connection. A pause within the day. A return to oneself.

A routine tells you what to do. A ritual asks you to be present.

The products restore.
The skin becomes resilient.

Sometimes the skin needs more nourishment. Sometimes it needs less input. Sometimes it needs space to settle. Sometimes it is ready for renewal. And sometimes it simply needs us to protect what is already in balance.

The ritual changes because the skin changes.
